Location: 250 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC 27263
Responsibilities:
- Able to understand all aspects of HVAC installation.
- Be dependable and able to work different areas at a time with 4-5 people in each group.
- To be able to lay-out duct for installation and look ahead to keep work going smoothly.
- Employee must have a good working attitude.
- Needs to adhere to all EAS safety policies and regulations.
- Must be capable of spotting unsafe situations and correcting them as needed.
- Has to be able to sketch fitting for duct connections. Have knowledge of signals for rigging, and setting HVAC equipment with cranes, boom trucks, lulls, and forklifts.
- Have knowledge of Welding and fabrication of supports for equipment.
- Needs to know Air flow of systems as far as—Supply; Return; Exhaust.
- Needs to be able to do Quality Control to make sure that all HVAC inline Mechanical Devices are installed according to Manufactures Instructions.
- Needs to be able to work with other Trades in a Professional manner to correct any conflicts that may arise.
- Capable of reading not only duct work drawings, but Architectural drawings to locate rooms, ceiling elevations, columns.
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
- This Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of Sheet Metal experience
- Read a tape measurer
- Read blue prints (preferred)
- Handling material, use power tools (e.g. circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, etc…)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
