Job Summary
We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable Construction Safety Manager to oversee and enhance safety protocols on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks associated with construction activities. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders involved in the construction process.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs that comply with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Provide training and resources to employees on occupational health, risk management, and safe work practices.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety management into all phases of construction projects.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance management documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for workers' compensation claims related to construction site incidents.
- Stay updated on changes in safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in construction management software.
Experience
- Proven experience in a safety management role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and compliance management practices.
- Familiarity with risk management strategies specific to construction environments.
- Experience using construction management software to track safety metrics and compliance documentation.
Requirements:
- 5 years of construction safety experience
- OSHA 510, CHST Preferred or additional experience.
- Land and Marine Work
- Piling and Crane experience
- Easy integrated to a small team, proactive
- Field time, some orientation, and paperwork
- Must have excellent writing and computer skills.
- Great communication - written & verbally
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
License/Certification:
- OSHA 510 (Required)
- CHST or equivalent work experience (Preferred)
