Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated HR / Safety specialist, preferably with a background in Excavating & DOT regulations to join our team. The candidate will ensure our current safety culture & procedures are followed, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with OSHA & DOT regulations.
Duties
- Recruiting, orientating, post hire follow ups, handling employee grievances.
- Training employees on topics such as trenching & excavating, CPR, 1st aid, OSHA 10&30's, CDL, confined space, traffic control, skid steer, forklift, etc.
- Investigate and maintain records of accidents, incidents, damages to determine causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management to address any safety concerns or issues.
- Conduct safety inspections weekly on all active projects.
- Manage workman's compensation claims. - Oversee our Apprenticeship program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred
- OSHA 500 & Class A CDL a plus
- Strong knowledge of Excavating & DOT regulations a plus.
- Experience in training development
- Ability to fabricate reports and analyze data effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
