Environmental & Safety Solutions is hiring an Industrial Commissioning Engineer who will be involved with overseeing the testing, startup, and fine-tuning of complex industrial machinery and systems within a manufacturing facility, ensuring they operate according to design specifications, meet safety standards, and achieve optimal performance by conducting thorough testing procedures and collaborating with project teams to identify and resolve any issues during the commissioning process.
Responsibilities to include :
- Developing and executing commissioning plans : Creating detailed plans outlining testing procedures, data collection methods, and acceptance criteria for each system or equipment.
- System testing and validation : Conducting comprehensive functional tests on installed systems, including performance, safety, and operational checks, to verify compliance with design parameters.
- Data analysis and reporting : Collecting and analyzing data from tests to identify discrepancies, performance issues, and areas for improvement, then generating comprehensive reports for project stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving : Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during commissioning, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and contractors to implement corrective actions.
- Calibration and adjustments : Fine-tuning system parameters and calibrating instruments to achieve optimal operating conditions.
- Safety compliance : Ensuring all commissioning activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including proper lockout / tagout procedures.
- Working closely with project managers, design engineers, contractors, and plant operators to facilitate a smooth commissioning process and address concerns.
Required skills and qualifications :
Strong understanding of industrial processes, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and automation controls
Experience with relevant engineering software for data analysis and reporting
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Strong technical writing and communication skills to document procedures and findings
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations
