Service Associate

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Associate member maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures of the specified job site. The position performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness of the various offices. The position follows standard practices and procedures and complies with regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Dusts furniture, woodwork and equipment and dust-mops floors.
- Polishes and cleans fixtures in rooms and bathrooms.
- Wet-mops and scrubs floors within the rooms, halls and other areas as assigned
- Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder.
- Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials
- Performs general cleaning and sterilization for prescribed areas within the job site
- Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors and walls of bathrooms.
- Keeps work areas neat and orderly.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position is a part of the contingent staffing program and is classified as a temporary part-time hourly position. Therefore, requires availability to work days working Monday through Friday.
TRAVEL
This position does require that the applicant have reliable transportation to the site

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Uses independent judgment to apply the guidelines to specific situations
- Good working knowledge of English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Ability to speak in a clear and understandable manner and write legibly.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- One to three years of housekeeping experience preferred but not required
