Substitute Teacher
The Environmental Charter School is seeking candidates for substitute teaching positions. Successful candidates must be progressive minded, and embody a can-do spirit and work ethic. For best consideration, candidates should possess relevant teaching experience, a demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing strategies to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning needs, and a “whatever it takes” attitude to ensure that all students succeed at a high level.

ECS teachers work in a highly collaborative environment making deep connections with students. Educational Background and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- PA teacher certification. Out-of-state certification must be approved by the PA Dept. of Education.
- Familiarity with charter schools and K-10 students
Compensation and Benefits
- $135.00 per day for day-to-day substitutes
- $150.00 per day for long term substitutes (single assignment of 4 consecutive weeks or longer)
- Participation in 403b retirement plan after 400 hours worked.

Clearances current within one year of hire date will be required and include, Arrest & Conviction Disclosure, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 34), and FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 114). Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) and Mandatory Reporter Training also will be required.

Salary : $135 - $150
