Job Summary:
Environmental Comfort Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Service Technician to play a key role in our service operations. This position is ideal for a skilled HVAC professional looking to take on leadership responsibilities while continuing to apply technical expertise. As the Lead Service Technician, you will guide and support our team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
- Exhibits above average communication skills both with the office and the Service manager.
- Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly with high-efficiency inverter systems.
- Perform and oversee preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and energy efficiency.
- Inspect HVAC systems and components, including heating units, ventilation ducts, and exhaust systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
- Mentor and support service technicians, sharing knowledge and promoting skill development.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to streamline workflows and improve customer satisfaction.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or Lead Technician, with a strong track record in service excellence.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, including high-efficiency and inverter-based systems.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proven experience in managing complex service calls.
- Proficiency in using HVAC-specific software and tools.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $60,000 - $100,000/year.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of HVAC experience (required).
- EPA Type II certification (preferred).
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to commute to or relocate to Decatur, AL, prior to starting work.
