Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to coordinate the transportation of equipment and/or goods, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation of equipment and/or goods, prioritizing efficiency and safety
- Track shipments and maintain accurate records of transportation activities, utilizing logistics software and tools
- Collaborate with customers and project managers to ensure seamless delivery of equipment and/or goods
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards, including DOT regulations and reporting
- Manage trip and fuel permits for a fleet of 10 trucks, optimizing routes and reducing costs
- Create invoices and collect payments from customers, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation and logistics, with a proven track record of success
- Excellent knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards, with the ability to adapt to changing regulations
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient in using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
