The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Prepare laboratory samples by lipid extraction and florisil chromatography cleanup to enable the laboratory analysis of fish and wildlife samples for chemical contaminants, especially PCBs and organochlorine pesticides. Dissect and homogenize fish samples.Prepare interim and draft laboratory reports.
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1. Satisfactory Completion of 60 semester credit hours of college coursework which includes at least 18 semester credit hours in biology, chemistry, physics, health science or science technology; OR 2. Two (2) years of satisfactory experience in either a laboratory or a clinical setting performing technical laboratory test and procedures; OR 3. Satisfactory equivalent combination of options 1 and 2, equaling 2 years. College study will be credited in six-month segments, with 15 semester credit hours equaling six months. Credits must include at least 18 semester credit hours in biology, chemistry, physics, health science, or science technology.
Additional comments regarding the vacancy. Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
