The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Answer door following safety protocols. Use door buzzer to let authorized persons in.Use Pitney Bowes mail machine to process postage for outgoing mail by weighing and determining price of postage and applying to outgoing mail. Receive incoming mail and distribute into the program mailboxes.Receive incoming packages from delivery services.Notify programs packages have arrived that need to the picked up.Ensure supplies in the mail room are kept at adequate levels – request monthly refill order Send courier mail to Albany and record in proper bookAssist in processing canvass letters by addressing as necessary, folding, stuffing and putting postage on envelopes to send to potential candidates.Create Word documents and Excel spreadsheets as required.Order DEC branded envelopes for supply room as required.Order mailing supplies as required.Assist with Events – SEFA, Blood Donations, Book Drives, Vaccine Clinics - to support the Agency Assist other Programs with OA 1 tasks as requestedAssist at the Reception Desk, when necessary, by providing all day and/or lunch relief; welcome visitors; maintain the visitor log; ensure visitors are directed to correct location using the department directoryReceive, screen, review, and verify FOIL request forms received in person or through the GovQA websiteScan documents and create electronic files following Program-specific guidelinesShred documents as needed.General office support.
