What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks and Recreation Aide 6 position at Environmental Conservation, Department of?
The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Must have dependable transportation and be able to work assigned shifts. Must be punctual, reporting for work on time. Shift work may be required when assigned to booth areas or shower building cleaning. Candidate should expect to work all weekends and holidays during their period of employment. Must be able, where applicable, to do manual work in the park, such as picking up litter, raking, pushing lawnmowers, and cleaning comfort stations, restrooms and buildings. Extra physical work may be required, such as aiding in removing brush and firewood and/or moving canoes and rowboats. Must be able to communicate with others and accept directions. All tasks are to be conducted in a safe manner, with any injuries/illnesses reported immediately to the supervisor. Must be well-groomed, wear appropriate attire, including work shoes/close-toed shoes. Issued clothing must be kept clean and worn while on duty. Must be even-tempered and capable of communicating with the public. Provide patrons with information regarding park facilities and use. If assigned to the booth: Must be able to handle and account for money and complete necessary Revenue Reports. Must be capable of operating a personal computer. Monitors and oversees fee collection and verification activities. Handles complaints or inquiries from park patrons regarding the quality of their experience, the cleanliness of facilities, noise from other facility users, and other related customer service issues. May act as shift or area supervisor. Must live at the campground during period of employment. Must be able and willing to supervise 2 or more employees.

Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age and have and maintain a valid driver's license.Preferred experience in a business operation including responsibilities dealing with the public, customer service and daily financial reporting and processing.

Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overnight travel may be required.Weekends and holidays may be required.
