ECT is seeking a dedicated project manager to support our clients in the successful development of wind and renewable energy projects across the Midwest. This role is designed for a professional who excels in guiding clients through project complexities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and fostering sustainable energy initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting and wind project development, with a client-focused approach to project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through each phase of wind energy project development. Provide proactive communication, regular updates, and tailored solutions to meet client objectives.
- Assist clients in navigating local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Lead the permitting process, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained efficiently.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, regulatory agencies, landowners, environmental organizations, and local communities. Facilitate productive discussions to support project success.
- Support clients by overseeing environmental assessments, including wind resource analysis, impact studies, wildlife assessments, micro-siting, federal and state permitting, habitat conservation plans . Identify potential risks and recommend strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Work closely with clients to develop project budgets, monitor costs, and maintain schedules. Ensure transparency in financial forecasting and resource allocation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless project execution. Foster a collaborative working environment that prioritizes client needs and project goals.
- Identify opportunities to expand client partnerships, offering strategic insights and innovative solutions to enhance wind project development.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field with 5-10 years of experience in wind project management. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong expertise in environmental regulations and permitting for renewable energy projects, with wind development experience required
- Experience in environmental consulting and stakeholder engagement within the renewable energy sector is highly preferred.
- Possess strong agency relationships with the USACE Tulsa and Kansas City Districts, as well as the USFWS regions corresponding to these locations.
