Job Summary: ECT is seeking a collaborative, curious, and creative engineer (five to twelve years experience) interested in working with like-minded professionals on a range of project types including sustainable site design and nature-based solutions to flooding, water quality, and stormwater drainage problems. The engineer will support a diverse team of civil engineers, landscape architects, and natural resource planners. Candidates should be self-motivated with excellent communication and learning skills, and be interested in working in a team environment. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Stormwater engineering analysis, calculations, and design.
- Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, water quality modeling, GIS analysis, and watershed management planning.
- Site civil engineering including, but not limited to, data collection, analysis, computations, and preparation of utility, grading, site, SWPPP plans, standard details and technical specifications.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Manage projects effectively to assist the client and ECT in meeting performance goals.
- Permitting (Federal, State, County, and local) related to site development work.
- Collaborate and coordinate with ecological staff for wetland and riparian permitting, T&E consultation, SHPO notifications.
- Coordination with internal disciplines including, but not limited to, landscape architecture, ecological, and planning.
- Coordination with external disciplines including but limited to architecture, mechanical/electrical/plumbing, structural, and construction engineering.
- Coordination with client and specialized design consultants on technical matters related to advancing analysis, design, and project documents.
- Conducting research and analysis, developing alternatives and recommendations, and preparing reports documenting the work.
- Assist in proposal preparation
Education & Experience: (List how much elated work experience is required to perform this job and how many years/months of relevant experience is needed)
- Bachelors Degree in civil engineering.
- Licensed professional Engineer or capable of becoming licensed within one year.
- LEED accreditation desired but not required.
- Experience with various hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality models.
- Five to ten years of relevant and progressing engineering experience

- Travel: Occasional travel to client, construction, and field sites
- Pre-Employment Screenings: This position may require drug screenings in accordance with our company protocols and the contractual obligations of our clients and/or third-party organizations. - Work will be conducted in a hybrid home/office environment during standard work hours.
