What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Service Technician Commercial/Residential position at Environmental Control Inc?
- Applies diagnostic tools and methods to troubleshoot equipment malfunction; makes decisions and service recommendations requiring technical knowledge.
- Adheres to company policies, practices, and procedures, including job site safety, equipment cares and use
- Coordinates with Dispatcher for the purpose of completing projects efficiently
- Repairs, services, and installs various heating and air conditioning systems and/or components including preventative maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems; identifies and resolves immediate safety concerns.
- Diagnoses malfunctions of heating/air conditioning systems and/or components for the purpose of providing routine service, and identifying repair / replacement needs when necessary to maintain equipment and systems
- Diagnoses, installs, and repairs fuel and water lines, flexible tubing, electrical connections, electronic and mechanical components; Performs brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication
- Responsible for service and repair of residential or commercial heating and air conditioning systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and indoor air quality solutions
- Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained.
- Maintain proper stock, tools, parts, and safety equipment in the fleet vehicle.
- Diagnose service issues, replace parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Communicate fully with the customer and dispatch on issues and solutions.
- Identify and consult with the customer and dispatcher about additional/new/upgraded services or systems.
- Follow all company safety policies.
- May be required to work overtime

- Specific knowledge is required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job, which includes methods used in maintenance, service, repair and replacement of heating and air conditioning systems, parts and components and related equipment

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.

- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, follow standardized practices and/or methods.

Salary : $15 - $40
