Environmental Equipment Sales & Service is a heavy equipment dealership servicing Upstate New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, & Maine.
As a Parts Specialist, you are primarily responsible for facilitating customer needs and requests in a way that is informative, productive and efficient. You will be the liaison for all customer sales, inquiries, and quoting; Coordinating the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of parts and components for our Rochester, NY location. Utilizing your knowledge of the parts you sell, how you can greet customers, help locate the parts our customers need and educate them about part functions. You will report directly to the Branch Manager.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Procure parts and components from suppliers based on inventory levels, production schedules, and customer orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits to reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of parts and resolve any delivery issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as sales to determine parts requirements and specifications.
- Receive all request for parts from internal and external customers and reply promptly with all information regarding the price and availability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on parts selection, compatibility, and usage.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Responsible for the coverage, retention, development, and customer satisfaction within your assigned territory
- Work with parts department, service department and territory salesman to keep customers up and running efficiently.
- Identify new customers within assigned territory to promote EESS NY growth.
- Ability to balance the business needs and goals of the company while looking out for the best interests of our customers.
- Prolonged sitting with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs on a frequent basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have a valid driver's license & transportation.
Preferred Experience & Education:
- Required: a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent plus vocational training or job-related course work.
- Preferred: Previous experience in Refuse Industry/Environment
- Preferred: Customer Service, 2 years
- Preferred: Automotive or other mechanical knowledge
Skills:
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with CRM software.
