Position Overview:
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Environmental Technician & Data Entry Specialist to join our team. This position involves field surveys, data collection, laboratory data interpretation, and creating detailed reports. The ideal candidate will also assist in our environmental remediation and consulting services by providing expert recommendations and ensuring the accuracy of environmental data.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting field surveys and inspections for mold, lead, asbestos, and indoor air quality in various properties (residential, commercial, and industrial).
- Collect, record, and manage data from site assessments accurately.
- Prepare detailed reports on field findings and laboratory results for clients.
- Assemble and maintain field equipment and systems; inspect equipment and troubleshoot as necessary;
- Interpret laboratory data to assess environmental risks and identify hazardous conditions.
- Provide actionable and clear recommendations based on field assessments, lab results, and expert analysis for remediation and consulting purposes.
- Support environmental remediation projects by contributing to the development of project plans and strategies.
- Assist consulting teams by providing accurate environmental data and recommendations for risk management and compliance.
- Maintain organized records of inspections, data entry, and consultation recommendations.
- Ensure all work complies with environmental safety regulations and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience or coursework in environmental science, safety, or industrial hygiene is preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with mold, lead, asbestos, and indoor air quality testing and remediation is an asset.
- Ability to interpret laboratory data and create clear, actionable recommendations for remediation and consulting services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and adhere to site-specific safety protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and report preparation tools.

Certain US jurisdictions require EMC, Inc. to include an estimate of salary or hourly ranges. The estimated range for this role is: $25 - $35. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm.
