Summary :
The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing safety programs and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations for site-specific projects within our landscape construction operations. This role involves identifying job site hazards, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a culture of safety on all construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site-specific safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation strategies for active construction projects.
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identify and address potential hazards and unsafe work conditions, taking immediate corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for construction crews.
- Investigate job site accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring proper documentation and corrective measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and compliance audits.
- Collaborate with project executives, project managers, site superintendents, and field crews to integrate safety into daily construction activities.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on job sites.
- Serve as one of the company’s primary safety representatives during OSHA and regulatory inspections.
- Conduct and oversee OSHA 30-hour compliance for site personnel.
Required Qualifications
Academic degree in safety or a related field; or
Strong knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and other construction-specific safety standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and influence construction crews.
