Job Summary:
Solution Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead and oversee all HR functions within our organization. This role will be responsible for managing payroll, full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, benefits, performance management, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have extensive HR leadership experience, strong knowledge of Paylocity, and professional HR certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
- Oversee weekly payroll processing with Paylocity for hourly (paid weekly) and salaried employees (paid bi-weekly). Including third-party sick pay.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
Full-Cycle Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
- Create maintain and update all job descriptions.
- Manage the hiring process from job posting to candidate selection.
- Oversee onboarding in Paylocity to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Compensation, Benefits & Vendor Management:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs through Paylocity.
- Manage relationships with benefits providers and vendors.
- Oversee 401(k) processing and compliance.
- Responsible for annual testing.
Performance Management:
- Manage and oversee 90-day and annual performance reviews.
- Develop performance improvement plans and career development initiatives.
Workers' Compensation & Employee Retention:
- Administer workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement employee retention strategies.
- Send employee birthday cards.
- Handle all employee inquiries.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with all HR-related regulations and labor laws.
- Create, update and maintain employee handbook and company policies and procedures.
- Oversee tax registration and unemployment registration.
- Maintain all employee records.
- Maintain people, org chart, recognition and rewards, compliance, ACA, OSHA Tracking, Events, Positions, Skills and certifications and calendars in Paylocity.
Availability & Leadership:
- Provide HR support after business hours and on weekends as needed (24/7 availability).
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on HR strategies.
- Event planning for manager meetings and company events.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years using Paylocity.
- Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR required.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Other Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours and weekends, as needed.
