DESCRIPTION/POSITION SUMMARY
Location: Various Locations on or near Navajo Nation, NM and AZ
Environmental Quality Management, Inc. is an emergency response and rapid services contractor to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency providing real-time emergency and time-critical environmental removal actions. Work involves containment and removal of hazardous materials from the environment under varied site conditions. Worksite activities may also include demolition, soil excavation, dredging, and site restoration.
This position performs sampling and cleanup of hazardous waste. Applies technical skills in handling hazardous substances. Works in all levels of PPE.
- Perform physical labor on job sites handling hazardous materials in bulk, drums, and small containers;
- Operation of power tools and small equipment
- Work requires the ability to work overtime, extended travel, and timely response to emergency situations;
- Must be capable of physical manual labor using shovels, rakes, and brooms;
- Requires working outdoors in the weather elements under adverse conditions at times;
- The company will provide personal protective equipment;
- No specific education is required,
- AHERA 40-hour Asbestos,
- 1st Aid/CPR/AED,
- Arsenic/lead/asbestos awareness
- One-year similar experience in working in all various levels of PPE.
- EQM conducts pre-employment drug screens and pre-employment physicals.
