Are you confident and independent in the field? Take pride in your expertise in the field? Like doing things right the first time? Interested in 12 weeks of fieldwork in mild weather in February and March?
The dynamic and driven team at Environmental Research Group, LLC is seeking an SOI Qualified Archaeologist for a 5-week pedestrian survey and monitoring project in Macon, Georgia starting on February 17th, 2025. A 7-week follow-on work stint will also occur. Working schedule will be set as a 5-day work week with 10hr days, with weekends off. Overtime will be paid, of course. Successful candidate will have the opportunity for follow-on field work nationwide throughout the remainder of the year.
What You'll Do:
- Independently lead a pedestrian survey/ archaeological monitoring project.
- Prepare and oversee regulatory and administrative communication, including background studies, field reporting, and client and staff correspondence.
- Solve complex challenges through careful analysis and problem-solving.
- Work directly with senior staff -to provide clear and decisive leadership, fostering collaboration and growth within the team.
- Ensure every project meets compliance standards with unwavering attention to detail.
What You Bring:
- A Master's or Ph.D. in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
- HAZWOPER40 Certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of CRM experience, including field management and team leadership.
- Strong notetaking and in-field data collections skills
- Strong communication skills to convey findings and guide work summaries.
