ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Communicate with Project Managers, regulators, clients, field technicians, and vendors / subcontractors in the office.
- Help plan sampling and data collection for air, vapor, soil, surface water, stormwater, groundwater, hazardous waste, non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs), and wastewater for laboratory testing.
- Properly review paperwork to document field activities (field logbook, soil / rock boring logs, well construction diagrams, etc.).
- Apply scientific and engineering principles to the design, collection, and interpretation of environmental data.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
- Aid in troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance of mechanical and electronic systems including pumps, remediation systems, and monitoring equipment.
- Complete monitoring, remediation, and compliance activities, including but not limited to :
Collection of environmental media for laboratory analysis. Media include soil, groundwater, surface water, vapor, air, stormwater and wastewater

Ability to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds. Sitting 75%, standing / walking 25%.
