What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician -Seasonal position at Enviroscience Inc?
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance technician Intern to join our facilities team. This position provides hands-on experience with building and equipment maintenance, repair work, and general facility upkeep. The intern will work under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor and gain real-world experience in facilities and maintenance operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
- Help perform basic repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues
- Support cleaning, organizing, and restocking maintenance areas
- Assist with equipment setup, relocation, or furniture assembly
- Document maintenance activities and report any safety hazards
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments as needed for maintenance-related tasks
This individual will work closely with the maintenance supervisor with some independent work. Work will be performed indoors and outdoors on-site at our Stow, Ohio office. A typical workday consists on an 8 hour day although, in accordance with the requirements of specific assignments, may include irregular hours and potential weekend work.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment (50lbs), occasional walking, climbing ladders, and exposure to varying weather conditions. Communication with others to exchange information. Must be able to see, read, write, and speak. Potential for long periods of driving.
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a vocational, technical, or engineering program (preferred but not required)
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team
- Good communication and time management skills
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor tasks
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
