This full-time position requires onsite work for 20-25 days per month in Skowhegan, ME.
Job Summary
As a Mechanical Paper Machine Coordinator, you will lead the coordination of the Paper Machine rebuild and report to the Lead Mechanical Coordinator. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining safe working conditions.
- Collaborating with the Mechanical Lead on Request for Quotations, material ordering, and scheduling.
- Reviewing and monitoring contractor schedules, productivity, and budgets with a focus on quality control.
- Leading safety aspects of the construction site.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- No less than 15 years of experience with Paper Machine proper mechanical installations.
- Extensive knowledge of millwright and heavy rigging trades.
- Experience with new builds and dirty rebuilds for machine proper.
- Multitrade coordination abilities and knowledge of trade precedence.
- Ability to manage manpower and budgets for large projects.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Compensation
This non-exempt position offers:
- Hourly pay based on experience.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x base rate.
- Anticipated workload of 60 hours per week.
- Per diem allowance for housing and food.
- Compensable travel time between site and home.
