Heavy Equipment Operator

Envision Civil LLC is searching for talented and hard-working Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team!

This role will operate in the Kannapolis and surrounding areas.

The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate heavy machinery for construction, demolition, and excavation projects.

* Must be able to work out of town (within 2 hours of Kannapolis).

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operates excavators and bulldozers
• Prepares construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation.
• Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches used in structural concrete.
• Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.
• Operates machinery used to build bridges, roads, and railroads.
• Inspects and fuel vehicles prior to the beginning shift.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities.
• Ability to read building plans related to structural concrete and land grades.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Utility Experience (Pipe Laying, Etc) is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• At least 2 years experience operating Heavy Equipment (Excavators and Bulldozers).
• At least 2 years experience operating outdoors.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of operating heavy machinery.
• Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary.
• Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
