Envision Motors is continuing to grow! We are Northern Californias destination for Genesis Service centers. We're looking to hire a shop foreman for our growing team. Strong Diagnostic Technical background recommended. Reynolds & Reynolds experience, team building and leadership skills needed.
You shall be primarily engaged in repairing and servicing new and used vehicles, consistent with industry standards and safety requirements. As a Shop foreman, your responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, (i) dispatching repair orders to maximize shop productivity, (ii) ensuring the cleanliness of the shop. (iii) coordinating with the service manager for technician work schedules to maximize coverage, (iv} managing work in process, (v} overseeing return of repair orders by assigned technicians, (vi} assisting other technicians with vehicles that may be difficult to repair, (vii) performing customer test drives as requested by service manager, (viii} reviewing all comebacks prior to making additional repairs, (ix) opening TAS cases and verify that warranty submissions have all required documents and are documented correctly, (x) working with the service manager to be sure all safety requirements are being followed, (xi) assisting service manager in new hire interviews, (xii} reviewing shop equipment and notifying the service manager of any equipment that requires repair or service, (xiii} reviewing team competencies and addressing any lack of same, and (xiv} working with service manager to improve service and repair quality.
- Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment.
- Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
- Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
- Test the functionality of parts and systems
- Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
- Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
- Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
- Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
- Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
- Keep a professional appearance.
Automotive Technician Requirements:
- Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training required.
- ASE certifications required.
- Hold a valid driver license.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
- Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in electrical testing and be prepared to do on-the-job training.
- Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.
- Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared to do on-the-job training.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
