What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Manager - Individuals with Developmental Disabilities position at Envision Ohio?
Home Managers play a vital role in our day-to-day operations. Envision relies on our experienced home managers in our Supported Living program to ensure that individuals we support are receiving the highest level of care. A Home Manager provides direct support services to individuals in a group home setting while also partnering with the Care Coordinator to offer support in the homecare management areas such as grocery shopping, appointments, staffing/shift coverage, as well as assisting in the training of new staff and planning activities/schedules of the home.
We currently have opportunities for Home Managers in the following areas of town: Colerain, North College Hill, Mt. Washington, and Montgomery.
The ideal candidate for this position will already have a qualified background as a DSP and be familiar with the requirements of management of households and staff/schedules. They will need to be familiar with and able to manage an on-call rotation to ensure that there is no lapse in care for the individuals served.

POSITION OVERVIEW
- Develop meaningful and person-centered relationships with the individuals served, their family members and their team members;
- Provide care and support to individuals served at each assigned location;
- Implement the orientation and training of new staff to location in coordination with the Care Coordinator/Program Supervisor;
- Develop, implement, and monitor all home and care tasks as approved by the supervisor for the daily operation of the services and the care plans for each person served;
- Create a team-centered, positive, supportive culture with staff that encourages collaboration, teaming, and share participation and leadership.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year experience as a DSP (similar position in an alternate service setting: CNA in skilled nursing setting or home health; mental health technician in MH setting; etc…)
- Proficiency in oral and written communication, including ability to develop written protocols
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook, and experience and comfort in use of computer software and hardware and database systems
- An insured, reliable vehicle for possible on-the-job use
- Driver’s license with no more than 5 points

Hourly range listed is reflective of base pay rate add-ons. Base pay rate is $19 per hour with the possibility of TWO $1 hourly add-ons for qualifying site premium and DSP Longevity Program completion.
