The Company is a U.S.-based service provider specializing in commercial restoration, construction, and roofing, serving both domestic and international clients who are distinguished commercial portfolio owners and operators worldwide. As a comprehensive solution for portfolio managers, owners, asset managers, and operators, they continuously expand their services to meet the evolving needs of their clients.
The Controller is tasked with regularly examining balance sheet accounts and analyzing income statement accounts at both the company and division levels on a monthly basis. Additionally, the Controller will be involved in training and assessing the staff to guarantee optimal team performance and foster professional development among the team members.
What you'll be doing.....
- Oversee and maintain the Company’s financial health, ensuring sound financial management and strategic oversight.
- Lead all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage the Company’s accounts payable, treasury, and general accounting functions on a daily basis, while collaborating with the Project Accountant Controller on revenue and billing operations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of trust and productivity.
- Monitor and manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement consistent accounting policies, technical accounting analyses, and procedures, staying up to date on current and future GAAP pronouncements.
- Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow efficiency.
- Provide dynamic leadership and support to the accounting team, ensuring a high-performance work environment.
- Manage debt facilities and oversee compliance reporting as required.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and related reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the Company’s financial position.
- Review departmental and divisional financial reports and schedules, effectively communicating results to stakeholders.
- Oversee the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, including preparation and review of supporting schedules.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports, such as the weekly cash forecast, as needed.
- Coordinate and support all aspects of the Company’s annual audits, ensuring compliance with audit timelines.
- Identify areas for performance improvement and implement strategic solutions.
- Contribute to special projects, including system upgrades and process enhancements, as assigned.
