The Staff Accountant will assist in preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. The Staff Accountant for company helps with finances for all their locations. The ideal candidate is a team player with a go-getter mentality. We are a rapidly growing company and looking to hire someone that is excited about the growth opportunity to take ownership over their area. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Be a TEAM Player – lead and support others cooperatively and positively to meet daily demands.
- Performs general financial accounting duties in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Reconciles bank and credit card accounts at least weekly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
- Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
- Creates payroll journal entries and understands applicable state and local payroll tax requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned
