Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role is crucial for ensuring timely shipping and receiving operations while maintaining a safe work environment.
Duties
- Fork Lift Operator Inspects product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
- Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
- Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material.
- Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including clamp trucks and order pickers.
- Strong skills in shipping and receiving processes, as well as order picking techniques.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in inventory management.
- A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $22.72 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
