Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment in a warehouse environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials, maintaining safety standards, and supporting overall warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Perform order picking and staging of products for shipment.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage stock levels accurately.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity.

Skills

• Proficient in operating forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Experience in warehouse operations including order picking and inventory management.
• Familiarity with RF scanning technology for tracking inventory.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the warehouse environment.
• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $20.48 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift

Experience:

• Forklift: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Forklift Certification (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Aspers, PA 17304 (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Aspers, PA 17304: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
