The Grounds Maintenance Worker plays a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns to maintain a neat appearance.
- Care for gardens by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, as well as weeding and mulching to enhance visual appeal.
- Conduct lawn care activities such as fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote healthy growth.
- Maintain hardscape features including patios, walkways, and retaining walls by cleaning and repairing as needed.
- Provide tree care services including pruning and removal of dead or diseased branches to ensure safety and health of trees.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for digging, planting, and maintaining various landscape features.
- Ensure all groundskeeping tasks are completed efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques with an understanding of plant care requirements.
- Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, and pest management.
- Knowledge of hardscape installation and maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to perform tree care tasks safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and other gardening equipment.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality work in maintaining grounds aesthetics.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $15.38 - $16.02 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
