Groundskeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and landscape of our facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Care for gardens by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees while ensuring proper irrigation practices.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various groundskeeping tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by removing debris and litter.
• Monitor the health of plants and lawns, applying fertilizers or pesticides as necessary.
• Assist with irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
• Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards.
• Collaborate with team members to complete larger landscaping projects as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping tasks.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of lawn care techniques and garden maintenance practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on job duties.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.16 - $17.06 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
