Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring they understand the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Assist physicians and nurses in patient assessment, vital sign measurement, and other medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatments or interventions.
- Administer medications as directed by the healthcare team.
- Provide patient education and support, including instructions on medication administration and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure the smooth conduct of clinical trials.
- Perform phlebotomy and accurately draw blood samples from patients, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow all regulatory guidelines and protocols governing clinical research.
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures in all aspects of patient care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program is preferred.
- Previous experience in psychology, psychiatry, or working in clinical trials is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to accurately document patient information.
- Spanish proficiency is essential.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood-drawing techniques is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
