This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing a variety of construction projects, including tenant improvements (TIs), large build-outs, remodel projects, and ongoing maintenance-related construction, from initial architectural plan review through to final completion. In addition to managing projects, this position will also involve utilizing their own skilled trades experience to assist our building maintenance team with various tasks, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, design review, permitting, bidding, contractor selection, execution, and closeout
- Review and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and other construction documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure projects meet all regulatory requirements and company standards
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks and delays
- Manage and coordinate the activities of various construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all construction-related matters, providing clear and consistent communication to internal stakeholders and external partners
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control standards throughout the construction process
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits, meetings, and reporting
- Manage change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other project-related documentation
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local construction trades and suppliers
- Utilize personal skilled trades expertise (e.g., carpentry, drywall, painting, basic repairs) to assist the building maintenance team with various tasks as needed
- Perform hands-on work related to minor construction, repairs, and maintenance projects
- Ensure timely and successful project completion, followed by thorough project closeout procedures
- Proven experience with 5 years in construction management,
- Demonstrable experience and proficiency in one or more skilled trades (e.g., carpentry, drywall, painting, general building maintenance). Please specify your areas of expertise in your application
- Strong understanding of architectural plans, building codes, and construction processes
- Established network of contacts within the local construction trades (general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers) is a plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in basic project management principles and tools.
