As an integral part of the Enviva team, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently loading bulk cargo onto vessels at a barge. Your expertise in operating heavy equipment, such as loaders, cranes, and ship loaders, will be crucial in meeting our load rates and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate documentation of cargo handled, including weights, measurements, and quantities.
- Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, cranes, and ship loaders, to safely load bulk materials.
- Maintain adherence to all relevant regulations and safety guidelines.
- Assist in equipment inspections, identifying potential failure points, and contributing to basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
Requirements:
- Physical Demands: Able to perform tasks involving lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and crawling for up to 12 hours per day.
- Working Conditions: Willing and able to work in outdoor environments with temperatures above 100°F and below 32°F, as well as in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial settings.
