Currently, Envolve is searching for a replacement reserve accountant to work in the Montgomery, AL office.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary. The Property Accountant will be responsible for the following:

  • Organize, maintain, and update key replacement reserve data for each property / lender within Yardi.
  • Utilize existing reporting to prioritize the entities for which replacement reserve requests should be submitted each week.
  • Prepare accurate and complete replacement reserve requests in accordance with the various requirements for each involved entity (Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”), Limited Partners, Lenders, other third parties.
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding requests with all involved entities, providing any additional information and/or answering any questions as needed.
    • Organize, update, and maintain listing of key contacts for each request, lender, limited partner, HUD, etc.
  • Timely collect funds due from lenders and other third parties for replacement reserves submitted.
  • Accurately report replacement reserve amounts that have been submitted and received daily through Yardi as well as completion of the weekly RR report and present those results via meeting with the Senior Accounting Manager and the Chief Accounting Officer.
  • Reconcile replacement reserve reporting to the general ledger monthly.
  • Communicate effectively through both written and verbal means with the accounting department, as well as third parties (HUD, lenders limited partners, etc.)
  • Organize, scan, and file all replacement reserve documentation accurately and timely.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Able to multi-task, manage time, and prioritize work (working on multiple requests each week as well as requests that are in different stages within the RR process).
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred but not required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel products and computer accounting systems
  • One year experience in accounting
  • Experience with Yardi preferred but not required
  • General Ledger experience
  • Experience in recording of journal entries.
  • Cash Management Experience
  • Payables
