Responsibilities

How will you make an impact? 

The Human Resources Business Partner is the senior strategic HR presence within one of Envoy’s line of business (Ground Operations, Air Operations and Corporate/Admin). The Business Partner supports the business leaders and management team to proactively support and deliver HR services as well as delivery of the business’ goals, objectives, and business targets.A successful HR Business Partner will demonstrate:

• Partners with business leaders to identify and prepare development plans for key and high potential employees.
• Ability to build a valuable relationship with business leaders and their leadership team to drive HR solutions within the business unit and acts as a single point of contact for leaders in the business unit.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize, while also being flexible.
• Exceptional ability to resolve complex employee relations issues quickly, effectively, and creatively.
• Partners with leaders on workplace investigations, corrective action recommendations, documentation, and terminations.
• Manages complex and difficult HR projects cross-functionally.Ability to act as the performance improvement driver and is a champion for positive changes/solutions.
• Exceptional ability to hold difficult conversations, address conflict, and confront issues in a tactful manner.
• Collaborative teamwork with internal and external partners.
• Exceptional business acumen and understanding of HR best practices.
• Ability to help business leaders drive employee engagement and enhance the employee experience throughout the organization.
• Ability to work seamlessly and effectively at all senior leadership levels within Envoy.
• Excellent customer service skills, a strong ability to convey information and guidance in a consistent manner.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for? 

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
• 2 years of experience in human resources with practical, hands-on HR Generalist experience
• Familiarity with federal and state employments laws
• Experience partnering with leadership or in a customer service role
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
• Possess the legal right to work in the United States

Position Preferences:

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
• Experience working with unionized employees and CBAs
• Spanish or French language fluency a plus
• Familiarity with Canadian employment laws
