Envoy Health is looking for a Medical Coder and Biller.
The job consists of both coding and billing of claims. The employee has responsibilities in billing, insurance follow-up, and coding including assigning required Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for Inpatient, Outpatient and skilled nursing facility setting. In addition, is responsible for analyzing patient data for accuracy, service quality and insurance.
Billing
Denial and insurance follow-up are achieved within the performance standards for our practice. Knowledge of reimbursement practices, CMS, HIPAA and other governmental regulations, rules, and policies as it pertains to billing and collections. Proficient with various computerized applications and billing software (Medisoft and EMR navigation)
Coding
Audits clinical documentation and coded data to validate documentation supports services rendered for reimbursement and reporting purposes; identified diagnostic and procedural information. Accurate coding of ICD10CM and CPT codes for claims including but not limited to also assigning POS, modifiers etc. Assigns accurate codes per documentation given.
Assist on other projects assigned by Billing Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Answering phone calls
· Monitoring inventory and ordering new supplies
· Coordinate schedules amongst employees to ensure coverage
· Monitor and attend to all faxing and documentation needs
· Perform all other office tasks
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in office administration or other related fields
· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and formulas
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills
This involves lots of small duties, like typing and taking notes during meetings, but their overall responsibilities are essential.
Office Location: McAllen, TX (near Nolana and 10th St)
Education:
· High school Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
· Prefer someone with prior Coding/Billing experience and cerfitication
is highly desirable
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience and knowledge base. Semi-annual performance review with raise potential addressed during reviews. 3 weeks paid time off (for the first year) with the first week available after 6 months probationary period.
