Onsite - Venice, FL / Production Operator
Full-time – 4 Day Week! – Monday – Thursday OR Tuesday – Friday ** 5:00AM – 3:30PM **
$19.50 - $22 / Hour

Ideal candidates will have mechanical ability and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Production Operators will be responsible for setting up and operating bottling / manufacturing equipment, performing light maintenance, selecting the correct components for the run, and reporting any issues with equipment directly to the supervisor.
Responsibilities
· Set up equipment for each run.
· Select the correct components for the run.
· Conduct random inspections during production run.
· Pack finished product into drums for inspection.
· Clean and sanitize work room and equipment between each run.
· Stock shelves with new components when received.
· Always maintain a clean work environment
· Maintain equipment; assist with scheduled maintenance.
· Participate in inventory counts.
Requirements
· Position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Must be able to read and decipher labels.
· Must have steady concentration, seeing depth perception.
· Must be able to lift weight or move up to 75 lbs. daily.
· Must be able to lift above your head during periods of time.
· Must be able to bend and twist daily.
· Must be able to stand for more than three hours at a time without a break.
· Must be able to multi-task.
· Must be able to work 10 – 12-hour shifts and overtime.
· Previous experience not required but preferred.
· Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
Supports Good Manufacturing Principles (cGMP) and Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) certification by the following (but not limited too):
- Adherence to cGMP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices, standard operating methods, and legal regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Document all production efforts in appropriate logs, forms, reports, and databases.
- Ensure the required quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained with respect to cGMP and SQF operating procedures, all documentation, area housekeeping, production suites, and compliance with the relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Working and partnering with other groups for requirements relating to quality systems, safety, equipment maintenance, and warehousing for cGMP and SQF initiatives.
- Maintains appropriate employee hygiene and cleanliness.

- Demonstrated ability to do excessive walking, standing, bending, and stooping. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or control, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel and crouch including occasionally climbing ladders. Able to lift and reach above your head on a daily basis. Able to bend, twist, squat and kneel on a daily basis. Able to stand for more than three hours at a time without a break. Ability to use a computer.
- The employee may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (30 pounds) on a daily basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read and decipher labels and lot numbers.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, hair net, face mask, foot covers, lab coat, gloves, and protective footwear.
