What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at EO Media Group?
Capital Press is seeking an Events Coordinator / Inside Sales Position. This position works directly with leadership and in collaboration with our marketing and advertising teams to assist in the production of events, primarily three agricultural trade shows. You'll be involved in all aspects of producing the events, from inception to execution, and will be responsible for making many of the arrangements and handling clerical duties necessary to manage the events. This position is based in our office in the downtown Salem, Oregon area. This is a full-time position, scheduled for 37.5 hours per week with additional hours possible during shows. To succeed, you'll need:
- Ability to manage multiple events at once
- Ability to use database software to plan and track events
- Willingness to travel within Oregon for the shows, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds during show prep and set-up
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, including skills in writing and speaking in person and by phone
- Sales and marketing skills to assist with event promotion, including making direct contact with show participants
- Be able to suggest changes for the improvement of processes
- Detailed oriented, with the ability to multitask
