Senior DevSecOps Engineer

As a leader in the industry, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevSecOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in integrating, securing, and deploying our SDA system of services.

This role requires a deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, a passion for space technology, and a strong commitment to building secure, scalable, and high-performance systems that support mission-critical operations.

Job Purpose

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will design, build, test, integrate, and transition prototype algorithms and machine learning models into production-ready systems at all levels of the development process.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Integration & Deployment

• Lead the integration and deployment of EO Solutions’ SDA system of services, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability.
• Work cross-functionally with software engineers, data scientists, and satellite operations specialists to optimize deployment processes.

2. DevOps Implementation

• Develop and maintain automated deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Continuously monitor, optimize, and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

3. Security & Compliance

• Embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and data protection regulations.

4. Automated Testing & Quality Assurance

• Design and implement automated testing processes to validate system functionality, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with software teams to establish best practices for testing, debugging, and validation.

5. Data Processing Pipelines

• Design and optimize data processing pipelines for efficient handling, ingestion, and retrieval of vast amounts of satellite data.
• Support real-time analytics and visualization for space monitoring and tracking operations.

6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Stay at the forefront of emerging DevSecOps technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance EO Solutions’ SDA capabilities.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the engineering team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or Senior Software Engineer with expertise in:
• CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Version control systems (Git, GitLab, or GitHub)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in deploying and managing production Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with tools like Helm, Terraform, Istio, Twistlock, and SonarQube.
• Strong background in security frameworks, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
• Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or Go.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proactive, analytical mindset.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
• A passion for space exploration and a drive to work on cutting-edge aerospace technology.
