What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Nutrition Assistant/Floater position at EOA Children's Services?
1. Record and Maintain Temperatures of food delivered from caterer. As well as maintain and update Food Production Records for the center. Must be willing to earn ServSafe-paid for by EOA.
2. Count out meal supplies for the day and let caterer know when supplies run low.
3. Put food on cart and take to each classroom.
4. Rinse containers for pick up by caterer and put in designated place.
5. Empty garbage daily and ensure that kitchen/food service area is kept clean and orderly.
6. Check to ensure breakfast food is on site for the next day.
7. Maintain awareness of dietary needs and ensure that food substitutions provided are
served to the correct child(ren).
8. Provide breaks and assistance in the classroom as assigned by supervisor.
9. Assist in acquiring In-Kind match.
10. Attend required meetings, trainings, and other agency functions.
11. Maintain confidentiality and restrict information about children, families, and staff to those with a need to know.
12. Assist with recruitment for children and volunteers.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
1. Must dress so that she/he can physically perform job and practice good
hygiene daily.
2. Must be able to stay awake and alert throughout the day.
3. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
4. Must be able to stand for lengthy periods of time.
General Staff Responsibilities:
1. Participate in staff meetings, conferences, training sessions, and workshops as assigned.
2. Maintain confidentiality in regard to staff and family information.
3. Fulfill role as mandated reporter as stated in child abuse and neglect policy.
4. Perform any other work-related duties as requested by your supervisor.
5. Be present at work in order to provide consistency of services.
6. Be a contributory team member in a positive/productive manner.
7. Demonstrate commitment to mission, values, and policies in the performance of daily duties.
This person also give breaks in the classroom.
M-F 7:30 - 3:30
Must pass a background check. Must complete an online Serve Save course.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.30 per hour
