The role requires strong writing skills, leadership, and a commitment to developing a long-term consulting career in environmental biology.

Mojave Desert Tortoise Biologist Authorized by USFWS and CDFWDegree in biology, natural resource management, environmental studies or similarAbility to work long hours in potentially extreme weather conditionsCompetence using global positioning system units, maps, ipads, and submeter accuracy devicesThe ability to operate a four-wheel drive vehicle over rough terrainThe ability to perform work duties independently or as part of a teamClear communicator, highly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, and dependableA working knowledge of standard office computer software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendorsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Familiarity with both insect and plant agricultural pest identification and managementCDFW Authorized Mohave Ground Squirrel BiologistCapable GIS and Survey 123 developer or willingness to learn.
