Forestry & Utility DivisionEnvironmental DivisionTechnology & Innovation DivisionSustainability DivisionJOB SUMMARY : The On-Call Biologist will perform biological surveys and monitoring in the field on an as-needed basis. Some desktop responsibilities may be incorporated into the position depending on needs, but the position is mostly field based.

B.S. degree in biology, ecology, natural resources, and / or a closely related disciplineStrong knowledge of California flora and fauna including the San Joaquin ValleyMinimum of 3 months previous experience conducting nesting bird and / or special status wildlife surveysAbility to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlinesHighly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthyAbility to interact and coordinate with state, federal, and tribal agenciesProficiency with standard field equipment and technologyAbility to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
