What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior International Accountant position at EOG Resources?

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the Accounts Payable Process, including coding invoices, preparation of wire requests, and applying payments to the general ledger
- Expense report processing for international employees
- Convert division financials into relevant GAAP for statutory financials
- Preparation of monthly and/or quarterly:
- Debit notes for international operating entities
- Bank and general ledger reconciliations for various international entities
- Manual journal entries as required
- Prepare local country sales tax returns
- Assist Operations in setup of new vendors and AFE's
- Assist with calculations and analysis of various accruals
- Assist Planning and Tax in developing annual budgets and transfer pricing rates/charges
- Coordinating and supporting foreign accounting teams during accounting close and special projects
- Work with IS team to develop and enhance international accounting applications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting - Master's degree preferred (CPA is highly preferred).
- 4 years of upstream exploration & production accounting work experience highly preferred
- Knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles
- Keen attention to detail and strong ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- A high sense of urgency, enthusiasm, strong initiative, and the ability to juggle multiple projects while prioritizing effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a proven track record of successful teamwork, leadership, and independent project management.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of AS400 and IDEAS systems, SQL, and Hyperion
- Willingness to travel as necessary
