We are seeking an experienced Mission Operations and Ground Manager to join our team. The role is to manage and guide the team to be ready for EOI’s first launch. The Mission Operations and Ground Manager will work closely with the Director to shape the approach and deliver within cost, schedule, and technical constraints.
The Mission Ops and Ground Manager will lead a cross-functional team comprising EOI and contractors focusing on satellite operations, system performance and quality, antenna management, collection & capacity management. This includes ensuring the Mission Operations Center (MOC), both facility and people as well as operations development (both mission operations and product support) are completed to align with the company vision and using best practices.

Responsibilities
During Planning, The Mission Operations and Ground Manager will lead and manage
- The creation of the MOC facility and associated infrastructure
- Development of Launch & Commissioning plan and procedures
- Development of a training program and lead training efforts
- Development of nominal Operations procedures, including Anomaly Resolution plans
- Development of product support baseline to include collection planning, order management, product dissemination, and customer account management
- Build and Manage the Mission Operations team
- Integration plan created and utilized for SW builds into operational baseline
- The MOC Ground SW build is ready to support the launch
- Launch campaign and readiness activities complete
- The cross-functional team is prepared to support LEOP & Commissioning
- Provide management support to the team
- Ensure Anomalies are resolved appropriately and effectively
- Manage day-to-day execution of the mission operations team to ensure health & safety and mission objectives are met
- Set a one-team culture that encourages a cross-team collaboration mentality, enabling working across mission execution, product, sales, and finance to ensure the success of the company’s goals
- Ensure staff is working toward company priorities while maintaining a culture in line with company values
- Ensure execution compliance with EOI and Government policy
- Ensure technical integrity, operations planning , and budget planning.
- Ensure budgets are accurate and planned for efficient execution and controls.
- Work with leadership to support the needs of existing and future customer engagements in terms of operations planning and mission execution
- Bachelor’s of Science degree, related field, or equivalent;Master's of Science Degree preferred
- 10 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry or relatedin a technology-related field
- Experienced in satellite operations with a minimum of five years in a senior leadership role leading a large, complex, interdependent organization that includes operations, engineering, and related functions
- Experience developing and scaling constellation operations
- Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and enjoyment of learning and teaching new skills
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Shows a continuous learning mindset with a passion for trying and adapting emerging technologies and engineering practices
- Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex engineering challenges
- Skilled people leader with experience leading, influencing, hiring, mentoring, and developing mission operations team
- The anticipated compensation for this position is $150,000-$200,000/yr, depending on previous experience
