This role requires a strong technical leader who can drive backend architecture decisions, optimize system performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, cloud-native solutions.
What You'll Do:
Technical Leadership:
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable backend services using C# and Python
- Establish best practices for backend development, including security, performance, and maintainability
- Mentor and guide a team of server engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture
- Develop and maintain microservices, APIs, and data processing pipelines
- Implement server-side logic, business rules, and data management strategies
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Design and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging services like Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate with DevOps to establish CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes
- Work closely with frontend, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance system performance and development efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in cloud architecture and backend engineering
- 8 years of experience in backend development with expertise in C# and Python
- Strong experience building cloud-native applications on AWS
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and microservices architecture
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc.)
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with security best practices for cloud applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers
