Audit Senior Accountant – Teaneck, NJ: Provide audit and other assurance services and accounting consulting services to U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese companies in both Japanese and English under the guidance of a certified CPA. Gather and analyze information provided by clients and apply academic training and professional experience to identify and solve complicated accounting and auditing issues. Research and interpret accounting laws on complex issues and questions arising from client transactions. Lead client audit and assurance engagements, including planning executing, directing, and completing financial audits. Supervise, train and mentor staff and interns on audit processes and review workpapers and deliverables they prepare. Review and analyze client data to prepare, or assist clients in preparation of, financial statements and other non-attestation processes. Offer professional insight and guidance to clients regarding appropriate presentation and disclosure of financial statements. Perform audits of internal control over financial reporting, including J-sox. Prepare and provide reports requested by clients’ parent company auditors. Will supervise employees. Telecommuting permitted.
Must have a Bachelor's degree (or US equivalent) in Accounting or related field. Fluency in Japanese language (written and spoken) required. Travel required approximately 10% -30% (local and national), as needed. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
