Job Description
The Materials Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our materials department. This includes supervising a team of materials employees, overseeing inventory processes, and contributing to EH&S objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of materials employees, including scheduling, performance reviews, and corrective action.
- Develop and implement a cycle count program to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving and shipping activities.
- Ensure transactional integrity for material in ERP, from receipt to consumption to customer.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and participate in employee hiring and training activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven materials leadership experience.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) credential offered by APICS or CMQ/OE certification is highly desired.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, engineering, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials leadership.
