Description
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the fearless leader of a team that sometimes runs on caffeine, chaos, and the occasional margarita (after hours of course)
- Keep guests happy, even when their requests include, "Can you make the ocean less salty?"
- Balance budgets while acting like you totally expected that last-minute million-dollar maintenance request
- Ensure the cupboards are fully stocked because you know what happens if the Tiki Hut runs out of beer
- Handle complaints with a smile, whether it's about the weather (we'll get right on that) or the bride who wants you to make all the people on the public beach disappear
- Guide the sales team to reach beyond their goals by booking events that stretch their imaginations to include selling to a group of magicians that just may make the hot dog vendor disappear
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to make sure no guest leaves without having at least one life-changing meal and a drink that makes them consider extending their vacation indefinitely
- Occasionally dress up for themed parties-because nothing says "leadership" like a GM in a toga and sandals
- A degree in Hospitality, Business, or just really good people skills
- At least 5 years of experience running a hotel, resort, or managing a circus (same thing)
- Ability to solve problems quickly-whether it's a power outage, a party on the dunes, or an uninvited creature in the pool
- Fluent in guest speak, employee morale boosting, and emergency cocktail-mixing (again, after hours)
- The patience of a saint, the charisma of a talk show host, and the energy of a relentless mosquito
- A full schedule, free sunburns, and unlimited beach views
- The chance to be the hero when you upgrade someone to an ocean view room
- Discounts on food, drinks, hotel accommodations, and most importantly, stories for a lifetime
- The joy of running a hotel where "vacation mode" is a way of life
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and Supplemental Plans
- Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays
- 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match
- Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Insurance
- Life, AD&D, and Supplemental Insurances
- Employee Assistance Program
- Resort Accommodation Discounts
